Walking electronic billboard company Adwalker is piloting an interactive fixed screen digital network on behalf of a FTSE 100 FMCG company, with the intention of rolling out an extensive network of interactive screens across Europe if it succeeds.
Under the terms of the pilot, Adwalker, with assistance from major IT service providers, will deliver an interactive fixed screen network for the FMCG company within retail outlets in Europe. The pilot will begin in July and run through to the end of the 2007, when an assessment of its results will be made. If successful, a potential roll-out programme is expected to commence in 2008.
Simon Crisp, Adwalker chief executive, said: 'Whilst fixed screen networks have, up to this point, not been part of Adwalker's core strategy it is an evolutionary step for the Company to bring the benefits of the Adwalker platform and its unique consumer interfaces to that of the fixed screen network arena."
